  1. It was ironic, but when you scratched the surface, most successful men were working for one thing only--to retire--and the sooner the better. Whereas women were the complete opposite. She had never heard a woman say she was working so she could retire to a desert island or to live on a boat. It was probably, she thought, because most women didn't think they deserved to do nothing. 2. My favourite fall ritual is a clearing out of the old to make way for the new. I go through closets, drawers and my office. It's so freeing when you are done. All those clean, open spaces feel so luxurious!

  3. Fall has always signified a time of renewal for me. My favourite fall rituals include changing things up. It might be something small like trying out a new class at the gym, but even small changes give me a sense of a renewed purpose/meaning in life.

  4. My favorite fall ritual is walking through the forest with my son and our dogs. Taking note of the fall colours, climbing trees and exploring nature. Sometimes a simple walk can turn into so much more. My favorite part about it is that my son will usually start gabbing to me about some important thing in his life and it turns into a long and thoughtful conversation between us that wouldn't normally happen in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives with the electronics, friends, homework and girls keeping his 12 year old mind busy. So it is calming , beautiful and enriching. I love it.
